Quick ways to reduce aquarium filter current?
I have a 20 gallon tank with a 20 gallon filter but the filter is creating a little bit more turbulence in the tank than I expected. I want to tone it down because I have a betta at the top and I know they don't like turbulent water. I've heard about the air bubbles trick putting an air bubble right at the bottom of the filter so the air bubbles break up the current and putting a towel over the flow but what happens when the towel gets saturated? I am just upgrading from a 10 gallon tank and I had a 10 20 gallon filter I bought from Walmart as well as a sponge bio filter. Hi thereI have an Elite Stingray 15 which, frankly, has seen better days. I am now looking to replace it with a Fluval U2 Filter and was wondering, how can I replace the filter without ruining the perfect water conditions I touch wood have?The Stingray 15 circulates 250 lph, and the Fluval U2 circulates 400 lph, so the U2 should be alot better.Any ideas?Thanks for your help

Aquarium Filter for 2 Turtles?
I have an aquarium that is approximately 55 gallons, with 2 large red eared slider turtles. They are very messy turtles so I need a good filter. I am looking at filters made for use around 100 gallons, so I may not have to clean the tank as often. Any suggestions?I would prefer a very quiet filter, or maybe submersible. The tank is not filled up completely because turtles need basking space, so the " waterfall" sound is already too much noise. Budget is around $60.00
